Zixin Yang (Kara) is an animator, 3D Generalist and storyteller with a focus on emotionally driven, personal narratives. Her work blends 3D animation with hand-painted textures, mixed media, and subtle visual poetry to explore memory, love, and the invisible threads between people. Originally from China, Kara completed her BFA in computer animation at Ringling College of Art and Design, and her MFA in Computer Arts from the School of Visual Arts, where she developed her MFA thesis film, a quiet reflection on loss during the pandemic.

With a background in sculpture and story writing, Kara approaches animation as a form of emotional truth-telling. Her work often centers on small gestures, quiet moments, and the complexity of human tenderness. She is deeply inspired by love, nostalgia, and the beauty of ordinary people.
